A-silhouette-of-a-lady

Jabbing at the tattered page, frustrated at my lot

How the camaraderie once was tight

but now the beauty is forgot

and I assess my plight

Whoa, I assess my plight

Hissing at the circumstance, calculating loss

Of fragile poesies that would fade

as blotch of ink swept across

the memories we made

Aye, the memories we made

Sighing at dashing hopes, duty now has won

Obliged that we must sever ties

in homage to the beloved one

And I muffle my cries

Yea, I muffle my cries

Trickle, trickle down the pane

Somber nimbus weeping rain

Potent hypnosis as driblets sweep

Now there’s no need `to tally sheep

.

Fickle, fickle eyelids flutter

Muddy streams rush to the gutter

Scenes fill wells behind closed eyes

As bleak disperse in star-less skies

.

Fluent therapy lulling me

And I drift off to a virtual sea

Soon the thunderous fit subsides

Into unruffled dreams of evening tides

I’ve finally mustered the courage to publish these haikus that I’ve written. I hope you will enjoy them. I look forward to your feedback as I continue to explore the various forms of poetry. Blessings to all adorable members of this WordPress Blogosphere who continue to support each other, here. I’m not always available to comment at will but be assured that I do read as many blogs as possible on a daily basis. You’ve all become like family and are even in my prayers now! Verdure is restored

As love potion flows from sky

Tulips pucker up

****

Spring is in fanfare

Birds and trees are out at play

Children pout, indoors

*****

Rain pummel windows

Spring’s bully assaults the night

Bolts rip bleeding sky

****

Rafting down the stream

Still waters mirror sunlight

Therapy for miles

****

Summer seas invite

Tourists bask in paradise

Natives scoot for shade

****

Seasons come and go

Plants and animals know well

Mankind – still in awe

****

Limbs strip their raiment

Streets lay eager to receive

Winds are scandalous

An elegant train streaming down the aisle

To meet the spruced gent, waiting eagerly

To taste the flavour of the damsel’s smile

As soon as he unveils the mystery

.

Her beauty hid by the trousseau she wears

Makes brisk heartbeats gaily anticipate

The duets they’ll witness, throughout the years

When twain infuse and both their joys inflate

.

A round of cheers preps the enlivened groom

To swear before the audience with pride

To love her till the day they seal his tomb

As he adorns the finger of his bride

.

She gives a lingering tear-joy response

Then he savours the saccharin at once

She licked the brine from her lips

As she spilt the pain of her ordeal

Billows rolled in fury and empathy

As she held a gaze the numb could feel

 ~

She had been a rock since birth

But the ocean lapped against the edges

Until defenses crumbled slowly

Into sediments of self bound pledges

 ~

Currents of the mighty seas conglomerate

Sweeping o’er a path of retaliation

A thirsty barren soul inundated

In a refreshing mix of amity and elation

~

Brilliant blue waves rolled that fateful day

But with a sense of certainty

That she would gaze into his eyes

From then until eternity
